The purpose of the Presentation Skills Workshop is to enable the learner to develop knowledge and gain skill to create and deliver engaging and informative presentations, including executive presence skills such as confidence; managing nervousness and anxiety; message organization; creating impactful slides; and tailoring and delivering an influential message to your audience. This interactive program offers opportunities to learn and practice executive communication skills with real-time, in-person active coaching.

At the conclusion of this live activity, the participants should be better able to:

• Integrate focus, natural energy, and forms of influence for presentations that are attention-grabbing, memorable, and effective
• Incorporate pragmatic concepts in development of slides and presentations
• Differentiate the components, structure, and style of presentations intended to persuade versus those intended to inform the audience
• Utilize stories, examples, case studies, and person experiences in the delivery of a presentation to healthcare providers
• Employ practical methods to manage anxiety and fear related to presentation delivery
• Develop knowledge of audience attitudes, critical issues, decision makers, and key influencers in delivery of customized and persuasive presentations
• Practice evaluation of peer and self-evaluation of presentation skills

This activity is designed for nurses, advanced practice providers, social workers, physical therapists, and other multidisciplinary staff employed at federally recognized U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTCs) for at least six (6) months, who would like to develop knowledge and gain skill to create and deliver engaging and informative presentations.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Nebraska Medical Center and Partners in Bleeding Disorders Education Program. University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

ANCC credits will be offered.

To attend this program, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be employed at a U.S. federally recognized HTC as a nurse, nurse practitioner, social worker, physician assistant, physical therapist, or similar role for at least six (6) months.
• Obtain approval to attend from Regional Administrator via automated process upon submission of application.

• There is no registration fee to attend a Partners Program.
• Once registered, you will be contacted at least 4 weeks before the program with logistical details, including air and ground transportation and hotel information. All registrants are encouraged to read the Partners Travel Policy to understand costs that are covered and costs that you may incur.
• The Partners in Bleeding Disorders Education Program is supported by an independent medical education grant(s). Travel and lodging for program participants are made possible by an at-will contribution from the Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center.
