Important Announcement!

To reduce risk of COVID-19 exposure among participants and faculty, all Partners Program events for the remainder of 2020 will be hosted as webinars. These live, interactive programs will feature similar content delivered by the same speakers as the in-person programs. These online programs will also carry continuing education credits for individuals in the target audience(s) who participate in a program in its entirety. Seats in all programs are limited. 2021 Live Partners Program Dates Available!

Partners offers a number of live educational events to enhance the care of patients with  bleeding disorders by increasing the knowledge of their providers. The live events are open only to staff of federally recognized hemophilia treatment centers only. Please view the details of the live events below (click "Read More") and click "Apply" to submit an application.

Motivational Interviewing (Facilitate Change, Improve Outcomes)

  • Description: This 2.5-day workshop incorporates the most recent developments and research in motivational interviewing (MI) practice and efficacy. It is highly experiential, giving practitioners hands-on exposure and practice. Training activities will help participants advance their levels of competency regardless of the amount of previous MI training or exposure. Once registered, you will be contacted approximately 4 weeks before the program with additional details. This program, like all Partners Programs, is free to attend. The Partners Program is supported by unrestricted educational grants from Shire and Genentech. Attendee travel and lodging for live events is covered by an at-will contribution from the Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center (IHTC).
  • Audience: Multidisciplinary patient-facing staff, including nurses, physical therapists, social workers, and other clinicians who care for persons with bleeding & other coagulation disorders and have practiced for at least 6 months in a federally-recognized Hemophilia Treatment Center.
