Important Announcement!

To reduce risk of COVID-19 exposure among participants and faculty, all Partners Program events for the remainder of 2020 will be hosted as webinars. These live, interactive programs will feature similar content delivered by the same speakers as the in-person programs. These online programs will also carry continuing education credits for individuals in the target audience(s) who participate in a program in its entirety. Seats in all programs are limited. 2021 Live Partners Program Dates Available!

Partners offers a number of live educational events to enhance the care of patients with  bleeding disorders by increasing the knowledge of their providers. The live events are open only to staff of federally recognized hemophilia treatment centers only. Please view the details of the live events below (click "Read More") and click "Apply" to submit an application.

Advanced Partners (II)


  • Description: The Advanced Nursing Topics II Program is intended to enable the learner to expand upon knowledge of blood disorders and to increase competency to practice sound clinical decision making, as derived from evidence-based education, standardized guidelines, case study evaluation, and methods intended to raise nursing care quality for persons with blood disorders treated within the federally recognized U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) Network. This program, like all Partners Programs, is free to attend. Partners Programs are supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Shire. Travel and lodging are paid for by an at-will contribution from the Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center. Register for this program by completing the Application Form. Once registered, you will be contacted approximately 4 weeks before the program with logistical details, including air and ground transportation and hotel information.
  • Audience: Nurses and nurse practitioners who currently are, and have been practicing for at least 2 years in the U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center Network, and wish to gain knowledge and competence of blood disorders diagnosis and management.

Advanced Partners (I)


  • Description: The aim of this program is to enhance knowledge of hemophilia management utilizing current literature review, shared experiences, and networking among Hemophilia Treatment Center nurses and experienced care providers. Once registered, you will be contacted approximately 4 weeks before the program with additional details. This program, like all Partners Programs, is free to attend. The Partners Program is supported by unrestricted educational grants from Shire and Genentech. Attendee travel and lodging for live events is covered by an at-will contribution from the Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center (IHTC).
  • Audience: Nurses and experienced care providers who currently are, and have been treating bleeding disorders for at least 2 years in the federally recognized U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center Network.

Advanced Partners (Physical Therapists)


  • Description: The aim of this program is to enhance the ability of the Hemophilia Treatment Center physical therapist to clinically evaluate and assess persons with hemophilia using evidence-based methodology in a family-centered care environment. Once registered, you will be contacted approximately 4 weeks before the program with additional details. This program, like all Partners Programs, is free to attend. The Partners Program is supported by unrestricted educational grants from Shire and Genentech. Attendee travel and lodging for live events is covered by an at-will contribution from the Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center (IHTC).
  • Audience: Physical therapists who are employed full- or part-time in the federally recognized U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center Network and treat patients with bleeding disorders and wish to expand their clinical decision-making and patient evaluation and assessment skills beyond the introductory level of Basic Partners.

Advanced Partners (Social Work)


  • Description: The aim of this program is to enable participants, psychosocial professionals engaged as core team members of the multidisciplinary hemophilia comprehensive care team, to develop knowledge and competence to provide high quality management of the psychosocial needs of persons with bleeding disorders. Once registered, you will be contacted approximately 4 weeks before the program with additional details. This program, like all Partners Programs, is free to attend. The Partners Program is supported by unrestricted educational grants from Shire and Genentech. Attendee travel and lodging for live events is covered by an at-will contribution from the Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center (IHTC).
  • Audience: Social workers and other psychosocial professionals who currently are, and have been caring for persons with bleeding disorders for at least 6 months in the federally recognized U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center Network (USHTCN)
