Cardiovascular Disease in an Adult with Hemophilia

The PartnersPRN has launched a new complimentary continuing education activity titled Cardiovascular Disease in an Adult with Hemophilia.

    Program Overview

Thanks to the availability of clotting factor concentrates and the multidisciplinary care provided at hemophilia treatment centers (HTCs), the life expectancy of persons with hemophilia now approaches that of the general male population. But this means more individuals with hemophilia are at risk for, or are experiencing, age-related diseases, including cardiovascular disease.

Using a clinical scenario that is becoming more common at HTCs, this interactive online learning activity reviews the prevalence of cardiovascular disease among individuals with hemophilia and summarizes recommendations from HTCs across the world that are experienced in managing such patients.

    Module Authors

    • Ashwin Vasudevamurthy, MD
    • Anne Greist, MD
