This program aims to enable the learner to take a holistic approach to bleeding disorder care. The program is designed to be engaging and interactive, and includes a variety of formats: didactic lecture, case discussion, professional networking, and more! The purpose of the program targets supporting a deep understanding of clinical presentation, diagnostic testing, and treatment to elevate care delivery to persons with bleeding disorders receiving care within the federally recognized U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) network. Prerequisite assignments are required prior to attendance including but not limited to, review of published treatment guidelines, peer-reviewed journal articles, and PartnersPRN modules. Prerequisite details will be communicated on or before October 1, 2026. This activity, like all Partners Programs, is free to attend. Apply for this program by completing the Application Form. Upon approval by the Regional Administrator, you will receive a confirmation email. You will be contacted at least 4 weeks prior to the program with logistical details, including air and ground transportation and hotel information.

Partners for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) aims to enable the learner to develop a deep understanding of clinical presentation, diagnostic testing, and treatment to elevate care delivery to persons with bleeding disorders receiving care within the federally recognized U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) network.

At the conclusion of this live activity, APPs working with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders will be able to:

• Articulate the role of the APP in the Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC).
• Explain the pathophysiology and genetics of inherited disorders - hemophilia and von Willebrand disease.
• Exemplify advanced diagnostic skills and clinical decision-making using evidence-based practice.
• Explain treatment options and management.
• Discuss surgical and procedure management.
• Evaluate options for addressing inhibitor monitoring and treatment.
• Translate care considerations for specific populations - women and girls, geriatrics/aging, connective tissue disorders, bleeding disorder of unknown cause, acquired disorders, rare and ultra-rare disorders, and platelet disorders.
• Describe the comprehensive care model and Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) operations.

Hemophilia treatment center advanced practice providers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and others who have treated persons with bleeding disorders for at least six (6) months.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Nebraska Medical Center and Partners in Bleeding Disorders Education Program. University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Continuing education credits will be offered

To attend this program, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be employed at a U.S. federally recognized HTC as a nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, pharmacist or similar role for at least six (6) months.
• Obtain approval to attend from Regional Administrator via automated process upon submission of application.

• There is no registration fee to attend a Partners Program.
