This activity is designed for non-clinical and administrative staff at federally recognized Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTCs). This program aims to enable participants in roles such as patient intake/scheduling, insurance & financial services, program & administrative coordinators, IT operations, human resources, and other administrative roles, to develop knowledge about bleeding disorders and comprehensive care provided at HTCs. The content level of this activity is basic. This activity, like all Partners Programs, is free to attend. Apply for this activity by completing the Application Form. Upon approval by your Regional Administrator, you will receive a confirmation email. You will be contacted at least 4 weeks prior to the activity with logistical details, including air and ground transportation and hotel information.

This Basic Partners Program for Non-Clinical and Administrative Staff activity is intended to enable non-clinical and administrative staff who are currently working at an HTC in non-patient-facing roles who support and work alongside the HTC clinical staff or administrative operations, who desire to develop knowledge about bleeding disorders and comprehensive care provided at HTCs.

At the conclusion of this live activity, the participants should be better able to:

• Discuss the organization and funding of the U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) network and important partnerships within the network
• Describe the basics of how blood clots and the basic bleeding symptoms and types of treatment for hemophilia and von Willebrand disease
• Identify the roles and responsibilities of core members of the multidisciplinary bleeding disorders comprehensive care team
• Translate the concept of comprehensive care at HTCs
• Name the most common musculoskeletal complications of hemophilia
• Paraphrase the role of research and data management in bleeding disorder care
• Recall the impact of insurance in bleeding disorder care

Non-clinical and administrative staff who currently are, and have been, working in the federally recognized U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) network for at least six (6) months. This program is designed for non-patient-facing staff who support and work alongside the HTC clinical staff or administrative operations which may include, but not limited to, roles such as patient intake/scheduling, insurance & financial services, program & administrative coordinators, IT operations, human resources, and other administrative roles.

To attend this activity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be employed at a U.S federally recognized HTC in a non-patient-facing role for at least six (6) months.
• Obtain approval to attend from Regional Administrator via automated process upon submission of application.

• There is no registration fee to attend a Partners Program.
• Once registered, you will be contacted at least 4 weeks before the program with logistical details, including air and ground transportation and hotel information. All registrants are encouraged to read the Partners Travel Policy  to understand costs that are covered and costs that you may incur.
• Partners in Bleeding Disorders Education Programs are supported by education grant(s) from the following entities: Cascade Hemophilia Consortium; Sanofi; Genentech, a member of the Roche Group; Pfizer; and the Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center (IHTC).
