Partners offers a number of live educational events to enhance the care of patients with  bleeding disorders by increasing the knowledge of their providers. The live events are open only to staff of federally recognized hemophilia treatment centers only. Please view the details of the live events below (click "Read More") and click "Apply" to submit an application.

Advanced Partners (I)


  • Description: The aim of this program is to enhance knowledge of hemophilia management utilizing current literature review, shared experiences, and networking among Hemophilia Treatment Center nurses and experienced care providers. This program, like all Partners Programs, is free to attend. Partners Programs are supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Shire. Travel and lodging are paid for by an at-will contribution from the Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center. Register for this program by completing the Application Form. Once registered, you will be contacted approximately 4 weeks before the program with logistical details, including air and ground transportation and hotel information.
  • Audience: Nurses and experienced care providers who currently are, and have been treating bleeding disorders for at least 2 years in the federally recognized U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center Network.

Presentation Skills Workshop (Regular)


  • Description: The aim of this workshop is to provide participants with the tools necessary to plan, create, execute and evaluate a presentation suited to a healthcare provider or patient audience. The learning process will involve participation from the learner. This program, like all Partners Programs, is free to attend. Partners Programs are supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Shire. Travel and lodging are paid for by an at-will contribution from the Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center.   • Audience: Multidisciplinary providers in the federally recognized U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center Network providers who would like to improve their content development and presentation delivery skills.

Advanced Partners (Physical Therapists)


  • Description: The aim of this program is to enhance the ability of the Hemophilia Treatment Center physical therapist to clinically evaluate and assess persons with hemophilia using evidence-based methodology in a family-centered care environment. This program, like all Partners Programs, is free to attend. Partners Programs are supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Shire. Travel and lodging are paid for by an at-will contribution from the Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center. Register for this program by completing the Application Form. Once registered, you will be contacted approximately 4 weeks before the program with logistical details, including air and ground transportation and hotel information.
  • Audience: Physical therapists who are employed full- or part-time in the federally recognized U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center Network and treat patients with bleeding disorders and wish to expand their clinical decision-making and patient evaluation and assessment skills beyond the introductory level of Basic Partners.

This program, like all Partners Programs, is free to attend. Partners Programs are supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Shire. Travel and lodging are paid for by an at-will contribution from the Indiana Hemophilia & Thrombosis Center. Register for this program by completing the Application Form. Once registered, you will be contacted approximately 4 weeks before the program with logistical details, including air and ground transportation and hotel information.
  • Audience: Bleeding disorders clinical providers who currently are, and have been practicing for at least 6 months in the federally recognized U.S. Hemophilia Treatment Center Network, including nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, social workers, and other providers who care for persons with bleeding and other coagulation disorders.
  • Dates: Nov 5, 2018 to Nov 7, 2018
